How YourOrbita protects your information

Last reviewed: October 8, 2026

The most important thing we can tell you about your data is how little of it there is.

  • No passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone. There is no password to be stolen, guessed, leaked, or reused from another site that was breached.

  • No payment information. Providers are paid directly by their clients. Card numbers, bank accounts, and payment credentials don't enter YourOrbita. There is nothing here for a card thief to find.

  • No background location tracking. YourOrbita does not run in the background and does not follow your movements. It reads your location only when you tap to share it on a request, and only with your permission. What you share is saved to that request as a map link so your provider can find you, and stays part of that request record. Request details are visible to you and the providers you sent them to.

  • No public search. There is no way to browse or search for people on YourOrbita. No one joins your Providers Orbita unless you add them - by scanning their code or opening their link, accepting a recommendation, or inviting them yourself.

  • No documents to lose. Providers type their credentials as plain text rather than uploading licenses or identification. YourOrbita holds no provider documents.

  • Photos stay with the request. When you attach a photo to a request, it is kept in private storage and shown only to you and the providers you sent that request to. It is not public, and it is not used for anything else.

The infrastructure underneath

Your information is stored in a US-based database operated by Supabase on Amazon Web Services, encrypted at rest and encrypted in transit. The application is served by Vercel. Both providers maintain SOC 2 Type 2 attestations and ISO 27001 certification for their platforms, and both operate hardened, continuously monitored environments with redundant backups.

Small on purpose

We built YourOrbita to hold as little of your information as possible, on infrastructure trusted by companies far larger than us, and to keep your network something you choose rather than something you're placed in.
